@raven2cz Apparently 1.19.6 is out which should solve this issue. I'll push an update later today when I'm back from work.

@MarsSeed the AUR page is for bugs and packaging issues to which I reply as soon as life allows me. I don't exactly know what you are trying to achieve here but your comments contribute absolutely nothing to the discussion. You can use whatever you want, nobody asked you to use this package specifically, but please stop harassing the maintainer and existing users.

@raven2cz, please use conky-cairo instead of this package. Its maintainer is more careful in testing the functionality, that's why they deliberately skipped conky v1.19.5 altogether.

Hello, I updated today to new aur version and cannot start conky.

~ took 7s ~/.config/conky/start_conky ~/.config/conky/MX-CoreBlue/conkyrc2core
conky: desktop window (7bb) is root window
conky: window type - override

conky: drawing to double buffer

I don't have a problem at all. First I've made requests based on flawed assessment. But I've rectified that.

Back in the day, Conky's Lua support was optional, and repo's conky didn't enable it. But things changed since then. Now, repo's conky has Lua support. Also NVIDIA support. So by name alone, AUR/conky-lua-nv provides the same features as extra/conky.

AUR/conky-cairo's name suggests that it supports everything that extra/conky does, but also adds full Cairo feature support (which by implication includes Lua bindings for Cairo).

FS#77168 asks for proper Lua bindings support for cairo, imlib, rsvg in extra/conky. Until that is implemented, conky-cairo is the proper package to provide that feature set.

Conky-cairo appeared on the AUR, six years later after this. If anything conky-cairo is the duplicate and the repo package still doesn't build with rsvg and imlib lua support. And on top of that you've been raising frivolous deletion requests and then retracting them. Seriously what exactly is your problem here?

Turns out that 'conky-lua-nv' is actually a duplicate of conky-cairo.

And repo's conky already supports Lua and NVIDIA, so there is no need to keep 'conky-lua-nv'.

Please migrate to either extra/conky or AUR/conky-cairo.

Instead of this legacy variant build, users are advised to switch to the feature-equivalent conky from repo (currently a few point releases behind this), or to conky-cairo from AUR, which is already on the v1.19.x release line. Both of them supports Lua and NVIDIA, and the latter also uses the cairo backend.
