Sorry guys, I still can't offer any solution :( As soon as I find a solution I will update immediately. If someone finds a solution, please let me know.

There seems to be a permissions error. After installing the dependencies I can run it as root with sudo and it works fine, but not as normal user for the first time. After that, it works as normal user but complains about not beein able to write to the cache and gallery paths in /opt/resolve Please fix.

@maltklaus I'm sorry about that. Indeed it's not a big problem with log4cxx, take a look here https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/search.php?keywords=log4cxx This issue has not been resolved by Blackmagic. What graphics card do you have? Please remember, Davinci needs OpenCL.

Thanks for the package! Sadly it won't run after installing. When I run start-resolve from the shell, I get these error messages: log4cxx: No appender could be found for logger (Undefined). log4cxx: Please initialize the log4cxx system properly. any ideas? cheers!
