Same problem. Check with ldd: ldd resolve ./resolve: /opt/resolve/bin/./../libs/libCg.so: no version information available (required by ./resolve) ./resolve: /opt/resolve/bin/./../libs/libCgGL.so: no version information available (required by ./resolve)

Not working with me either. No window appears, just get the following warnings/errors:

For me no MTS support is given (h264, ac-3), resolve complains about missing codec.

This is what i already got:

extra/libx264 2:152.20171224-1 [installed] extra/libx264-all 2:152.20171224-1 [installed]

0x7fcabf7fe700] | IO | ERROR | 2018-04-17 13:17:59,207 | Failed to decode clip , track 0, frame 0: Cannot find the codec for decoding.

Similar issue for MP4/AAC, even tho it seems that resolve does not support AAC, the video part is not working as well: https://haste.tchncs.de/raw/uxijufibek

Hi, I'm getting such error:

This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb".

Available platform plugins are: linuxfb, minimal, offscreen, xcb.

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. [0x7f0cd2e6b240] | Main | INFO | 2018-04-14 12:24:20,267 | Caught termination signal SIGABRT, triggering termination routine [0x7f0cd2e6b240] | Main | ERROR | 2018-04-14 12:24:20,267 | Termination request failed

I have fully updated system. It's Manjaro not Arch, but davinci-resolve worked well.

Any hints? Thanks in advance.

It's ok, I will try it. But I do not make any promises that it will work perfectly.

jasperlevi commented on 2017-09-09 18:16 (UTC)

@satriani, that one is for version 12 of DaVinci Resolve, and that too has been abandoned by the original maintainer. Maybe you can convert this thread to support the final release of version 14? Forgive me if I am suggesting something that is not as per the guidelines or something. I am not very sure of how this works...

This pack is for beta version only. Please use davinci-resolve pack from jonathon here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/davinci-resolve/ Uninstall this beta version and install a stable version.

Hey @satriani, DaVinci Resolve is out of beta and the final version is out. How do we transition to the latest version on our arch linux installs?
