Thank you, fixed.

Also stops on compiling plugins - "mv -f" should be changed to "cp -rf" (or something better).

Makepkg in new pacman 3.4.0 aborts build on first non-successful command, here it stops on applying patch (if it was already patched before, e.g. when rebuilding). Quick dirty fix: http://aur.pastebin.com/71mXMKa7 (line 56). Thanks :-)

Now it should work even when you don't have any MAKEFLAGS specified.

qwert535286: Sorry, I forgot to add md5sums. They are here now. The error messages has nothing to do with blender. They are indicating problems with different packages (peazip, kdebase-workspace and gvim).

When I removed the old versions of blender-svn It appeared these messeges: Error in file "/usr/share/applications/peazip.desktop": "all/all" is an invalid MIME type ("all" is an unregistered media type) Error in file "/usr/share/applications/kde4/kfontview.desktop": "fonts/package" is an invalid MIME type ("fonts" is an unregistered media type) Warning in file "/usr/share/applications/gvim.desktop": usage of MIME type "message/news" is discouraged ("message" is a media type that probably does not make sense in this context)

mosra: Thank you for noting that, I didn't realized that it doesn't use MAKEFLAGS. When adding the support for multiple jobs build I improved the PKGBUILD a bit. Improvements: - it uses MAKEFLAGS to determine number of make jobs - correctly switch to FHS - running blender-update-scripts first is no longer required, in fact I removed it - enable fftw and lcms for smoke simulations and color management

Quick fix for multithreaded scons build: http://aur.pastebin.com/A1WJfFmK (see line 50). I don't know if this is clean enough, because $MAKEFLAGS (in /etc/makepkg.conf) can have other parameters than just -jN. But compiling Blender with only one thread is a pain.
