2020-07-06: This package currently follows "proton-ge-5-MF" upstream branch, which will include unstable pre-releases. If you want a more reliable release, take a look at proton-ge-custom-stable-bin, which follows "proton-ge-5-stable" branch.
2020-03-08: This version of Proton is bundled with a launcher script. It shall make it easy to use proton with arbitrary executables but stays compatible with the way the original proton script is invoked. Read the help or the script itself to see how it works:
$ proton --help

@Jaja I added you Co-Maintainers list i don't know too much about arch linux packages and these stuff, i just tried to solve a problem for arch users who want to use proton-ge binary files. about write permission probelm at first i tried to solve the write issue with "games" group but someone on arch linux didn't even had "games" group and it also didn't work in my own testing

@Jaja actually I didn't make this package because i liked making packages i made it because it was annoying to download new version of proton-ge binaries and extract them, but because there was no AUR package for it, i tried to learn PKGBUILD a bit using arch wiki and make this package to solve this issue for at least other people that wanna use proton-ge binaries but don't wanna grab the tar.gz and extract it each time it gets an update I'll add you to Co-Maintainers list

The "chaotic-aur" co-maintainer is a bot that pulls any merged PR in https://github.com/chaotic-aur/pkgbuild-proton-ge-custom-bin back to this package. So if you guys have contributions or bump versions earlier than the maintainer, please share them as PRs. The commits will keep your authorship.
Happy gaming!
