Sorry I couldn't help to fix the issue :( It works for me, but I have a lot of Ubuntu-patched packages from porting Unity.

@bjo is that a patch for the cinnamon-settings if so how would i add that to my cinnamon-git so it patches it

bjo commented on 2012-04-24 17:26 (UTC)

You can use the patch from http://pastebin.com/NHkxYN44 - then it works with gnome3.4

Okies! Ty. Tried to downgrade those packages, but seems it is more complicated than that. Now I have manually uninstalled all of cinnamon and purged my puter of everything that is called cinnamon, muffin, themes etc. Hopefully some day it will work. I am thinking about migrating to Linux Mint. This gnome 3 frenzy turns me mad. Fallback mode now until I will find something that is usable.

@linfan: It's a problem with gnome-settings-daemon. It's no longer providing /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.DateTimeMechanism.service

bjo commented on 2012-04-24 13:27 (UTC)

No, there are some dbus-services missing with gnome 3.4.

<deleted-account> commented on 2012-04-24 13:22 (UTC)

I tried to downgrade dbus and dbus-core. No change. So I wonder why it says it is python errors if it is just an upgraded dbus?
