I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

Something like this? (the .install and .desktop files are already included with this thing): PKGBUILD: http://aur.pastebin.com/iskqnc2p googleearth-i686: http://aur.pastebin.com/gQkbXNqL googleearth-x86-64: http://aur.pastebin.com/uHRMGJ4J googleearth-mimetypes.xml: http://aur.pastebin.com/eB80ZRVp pangorc: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bin32-google-earth/bin32-google-earth/pangorc qt.conf: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bin32-google-earth/bin32-google-earth/qt.conf You can (of course) change all that "[[ "$CARCH" == "x86_64" ]] &&" stuff in the PKGBUILD to that "if lol; then" stuff, in case it looks ugly to you the way it is.

may be, in the next days (january) i ve start this

kevku commented on 2010-12-27 15:43 (UTC)

could this PKGBUILD be made like acroread to support both x86_64 and i686?

<deleted-account> commented on 2010-12-27 11:20 (UTC)

Why in my case it keeps failing to start since some point of 5.x...

gt_swagger, please update the package. Already a second version of Google Earth 6 is out. If you don't have time for mantain a package, please orphan it so someone else could take care of it
