Sounds more like a waf bug then. Will debug this first, maybe there is a way around it or waf fixes it soon.

please change: "./waf" to "python2 ./waf" if use python/python3 the ./waf install rebuild everything greetings

Since pacman 4.1 there is also prepare() for the configuration commands.

Doing the compiles from package() is AFAIK unacceptable. Will see how to fix this.
