@solarisfire Was an upstream change in the firefox package, please report at bugs.archlinux.org instead.

Just tried clean building with 116 and it still eats up all available RAM on my system and crashing it...

I don't think this change was a good idea:

-ac_add_options --enable-lto=cross
+ac_add_options --enable-lto=cross,full

The latest PKGBUILD (115.0.3-1) won't build for me... It just eats all of my 32GB of RAM and then my PC crashes...

@gilvbp August 1 it will be released :)

Feel free to create a firefox-beta-vaapi package or similar.

@rossome Thanks for contributing, will include. Protip: buy AMD.

I needed to get dmabuf enabled using the proprietary nvidia driver to utilize libva-nvidia-driver-git. I have modified the 0001-enable-vaapi.patch with the following contents. Also had to recompile ffmpeg with --enable-vaapi.

@ewout That's fair I guess.

ewout commented on 2023-03-02 13:19 (UTC)

@Rustmilian Trying to keep the package as close as possible to the original arch package.

@ewout I'm aware but the patches themselves are from fedora.
