I cannot use this package still, now it pulls libxcvt as dependency but it conflicts with xorg-server package as they both provide /usr/bin/cvt and /usr/share/man/man1/cvt.1.gz.

My bad, if you don't install xorg-server or xorg-server-git, and that I add the new libxcvt dependency to XWayland, it will work just fine.

libxcvt was recently split from xorg, so its files are currently "owned" by the xorg-server package. I think switching to libxcvt requires switching to xorg-server-git too but I'm not sure, I cannot test right now. Could someone add libxcvt to the dependencies of this package and try building it? There is already an AUR package for it.

i get the error when upgrading: xserver/meson.build:209:8: ERROR: Dependency "libxcvt" not found, tried pkgconfig and cmake

Added xorgproto-git to the dependencies. Made the version accurate.

xserver/meson.build:73:0: ERROR: Invalid version of dependency, need 'inputproto' ['>= 2.3.99.1'] found '2.3.2'.

Is some Arch package in need of an upgrade before we can compile from last commit? Or what's wrong here?

With the latest change libegl was added to the dependencies but mesa-libgl is still listed under "makedepends".

@Rucikir: I think mesa would be fine as xorg-xwayland-git still depends on xorg-server-common(-git) which in turn also requires mesa.
