Note: If you want to have both gimp-git and stock gimp installed, there's a non-conflicting version of this package called gimp-develop-git
This package is also hosted on GitHub.
Use env vars to control build process:
  • DISABLE_MESON=1 to build with Autotools build system (disabled by default)
  • MAKEFLAGS="xxx" to override default make flags.
Usage cases:
  • makepkg DISABLE_MESON=1
  • yay -S gimp-git --mflags "DISABLE_MESON=1"

SyntaxError: invalid syntax not found configure: error: *** Could not find Python headers. *** Please install them, or skip building the python scripting extension by *** passing --disable-python to configure (but then you will not be able *** to use scripts for GIMP that are written in Python).

needs to handle first time builds better 'rm -rf "$srcdir/$_gitname-build"' to '[ ! -d "$srcdir/$_gitname-build" ] || rm -rf "$srcdir/$_gitname-build"' that way first time builders don't get an error for trying to remove a directory that isn't there. http://aur.pastebin.com/rYkm90MW

small issue here as well ... rm -r should be rm -rf in the make section for the build dir

@jorgicio : yes, dottorblaster has updated the pkgbuild. I need to rebuild the package. Unfortunately, I can't do it before 3 weeks. I'm going on holidays (Japan trip!!!).

gimp-git depends on both babl-git and gegl-git.

gegl-git is depends not makedepends if you use yaourt -Qtd to uninstall the makedepends package the gimp-git will not work
