Hi! First of all thanks for maintaining this patch! I have a problem with the latest version though :(

"==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg... xorg-server-1.20.11.tar.bz2 ... FAILED (unknown public key ED2ED19F85B3682C) ==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!"

Thanks you, man. You're my lifesaver.

Please note that I'm following Arch upstream xorg-server package as close as possible. The empty PGP key has appeared in this commit: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/e900b8b008332545c275d6c7a0afdb8887bc65a0#diff-3e341d2d9c67be01819b25b25d5e53ea3cdf3a38d28846cda85a195eb9b7203a

Whoever as affected should consider reporting to Arch bug tracker.

If you have a problem like 2dorf4u a comment below:

This PKGBUILD has an empty pgp key in requirements! To properly install if for the first time you would need to edit it: (remove line with empty key)

yay --editmenu -S xorg-server-bug865

Note: while it should work, for me it didn't, I was lazy to investigate. Another way would be:

yay -G xorg-server-bug865
#edit the PKGBUILD
makepkg -si

If you are updating, then you should already have all required keys, so simply do NOT import keys (type 'n') here:

:: PGP keys need importing:
-> , required by: xorg-server-bug865
==> Import? [Y/n]

I am running into an unspecified problem importing keys when upgrading:

:: (1/1) Parsing SRCINFO: xorg-server-bug865

:: PGP keys need importing:

-> , required by: xorg-server-bug865

==> Import? [Y/n]

:: Importing keys with gpg...

This package only works for Ctrl+Shift, doesn't it? I tried using it with RShift for switching layout, but RShift+letter doesn't result in typing a capital letter anywhere (I tried Alacritty, Emacs, Firefox, Chromium and gave up). Same with RCtrl, it types a letter instead of doing whatever a Ctrl+letter shortcut should do. However, keyboard layout switches when I release a RShift/RCtrl, not when I press on it, and it works as expected for Ctrl+Shift and combinations such as Ctrl+Shift+T.

@trollixx Zero chances. We will celebrate 16 years of this bug in couple of months. Making it a configuration won't change anything, because basically this is how it should work by a "specification", and Xorg is so cool that it doesn't break promises made in 90s.

See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=865

Any chances of getting the patch upstreamed? I see that the configuration bit is currently missing, but are there any other known issues?

Heads up: rebuild this package when nettle 3.6 (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/x86_64/nettle/) exists testing.
